...Well actually..it wasn't :')
Meeting Jared Joseph Leto
Words cannot express the way we are feeling right now. Yesterday, 16.07.2010, we met our hero and the most inspirational person we know. Jared Leto, thank you for making our dreams come true. The day started off early in the morning, in London. The three of us (Priy, Shree and Amy) were feeling both excited and nervous. After having spent a good 45minutes in the hotel we believed Jared to be staying at and spending £11.50 on a breakfast we didn't even want, we started to feel anxious. We hadn't sited Jared and it was becoming clear that we weren't going to, so we left the hotel and went to the starbucks across the road. At starbucks, we put on some music (30 Seconds To Mars obviously) to try and lift our spirits slightly. We spent a good hour or so there, waiting for a sign of Jared. However, we soon became disheartened. We were slowly starting to believe that we weren't going to meet him, that we wouldn't get that lucky. To try to cheer ourselves up, we made funky starbucks bracelets and Shreena wrote her letter to Jared as well as designed her tshirt. We then decided it would be best to head to Waterloo, where we knew Jared was going to be, because he was due to be on Alan Carr, Chatty Man. When we arrived there, there was only one fan in sight. We had now convinced ourselves that we'd missed Jared, henceforth making ourselves even sadder. We decided to stick around, just in case - at this point even just a glimpse of him would make us the happiest girls in the world. After half an hour, Amy left. Shree and Priy hung around before spotting a security guard. Shreena decided it would be a good idea to talk to the lovely guard - Ken - and oh, she was right. Shree and Priy soon managed to get into Ken's good books (and he was lovely!) and they also showed him the t-shirts and leggings that had been previously made...he seemed to like them! After impressing him with the awesome leggings and tee's and proving our dedication to the band, he told us where Jared's car would be arriving. This gave us some hope and so we settled down on the ground, once again listening to 30 Seconds To Mars. (It was necessary, obviously) Shree then went and spoke to the other security guard who was also lovely and kept us company for a number of hours. When he finished his swap, you can imagine how excited we were to see Ken taking over! We promptly gathered up our belongings and went and stood by Ken was, to keep him company. He was lovely and spoke to us for ages. After a while, we met a lovely Irish teacher, he had come down to see Kylie Minogue. We spoke to him for a while, before Shreena left Priy to talk to him a while and went back over to Ken. She asked him if he knew if Jared had arrived and being as lovely as he was, he phoned up to the show to find out his arrival time and number plate. He then gave the information to her. Upon hearing that Jared was not in the studio, Shree and Priy became increasingly excited and nervous. Shree and Priy continued talking to Ken for a while, and just as they were about to say something, Sam and Mark (They were on Pop Idol and also had their own show 'Sam and Mark' for those who don't know who they are. It brought back childhood memories for Shree and Priy!) walked passed us. We managed to get a quick picture with the two of them. Shreena also managed to embarass herself in front of them, she appeared to be a flapping idiot as she tried to communicate to Priy to ask for a picture with them. Priy didn't have a clue what she was saying and let Shree look like an idiot. After Sam and Mark left Shree and Priy were extremely giddy. And you can only imagine how Jared Leto would effect Priy and Shree if Sam and Mark managed to effect the girls like this...
A few hours later, Ken finished his shift. About ten minutes after he left, the most AMAZING thing happened. Shree spotted the number plate that they had so patiently been waiting to see! "It's him...Jared is arriving' she repeated, but nobody acknowledged what she was saying. She called out Jareds name and he unrolled the window and smiled at her. Shree and Priy both managed to hand him their letters and were unbelievably happy and they could not contain their excitement. Shree and Priy were elated when Jared noticed their t-shirts. Upon seeing them, he grinned and playfully stuck his tounge out the girls. Sadly, Jared apologetically told everyone that he cannot come out of the car to take pictures. He asked if we had tickets to which we replied "No". Jared then said "See you guys later" and the car drove into the studio car park...
Shreena and Priy felt an overwhelmingly bittersweet feeling. They had spoken to their hero, but it was so brief and they didn't manage to get a picture. They decided there and then to wait for him to come back out of the show. They needed to see him again. So, Shree and Priy, along with some amazing echelon they had met, waited patiently (Ha, as if ;]) to hopefully catch another glimpse of the amazing man, or even get a picture with him. Luckily for the, time seemed to move faster than it had earlier...
After some more conversation with the security, Shreena spotted Jared's car coming towards the barrier. She ran from where security were to where Priy was and the lovely security man looked at Shreena and mouther "are you ready?" when she was, she nodded and said "Yes!" he then lifted the barrier. This time, they managed to get Jared to stop his car.
As soon as everyone realised who was in the car, there was a mad rush. Shree managed to catch Jared's attention and told him that we'd been waiting for him all day. He seemed quite impressed by that. Next thing you know, everyone was asking Jared to come out of the car. Unfortunately, there was too many people so he said that he would do pictures from the car. Anyway, the important thing is, we managed a picture with him each, and he spoke to us for a few minutes, he also touched our hands and hearts (<3) and he accepted the protection bracelet that Shreena gave him and put it on. He is such an incredible being, with an unbelievable ability to captivate everyone around him. When he looks at you, even for a second, you feel as though you are the most important person in the world. His eyes penetrate you, it is almost as if he is seeing straight to your soul, and looking into his eyes, you get lost in an extremely special place. A lot of people find it hard to believe that one man could have such an amazing impact on people; but he did. He has impacted his fans in so many different ways and yesterday wasn't any different. Seeing him on t.v and seeing him in the flesh cannot even be compared. If we could have that day played on repeat over and over again; we would. It was a truly magical day and nothing will ever be able to make us feel the emotions that we felt when we met Jared Joseph Leto again. He is universal and being in his presence is absolutely undescribable. Nothing we have said so far has done any justice to how amazing Jared Leto really is and I (Shreena) am truly honoured to have met him. Jared - in my eyes, you are the big bang because you created my universe. You shaped it and helped to shape me. Without your influence I wouldn't be who I am today or where I am today and meeting you is well and truly the most amazing and incredible thing that I could have ever asked for. I feel so blessed and I wish there was a word more powerful and beautiful than thank you. Shreena pretty much covered it but I (Priy) just wanted to say that thank you does not seem to cover it at all. I said it all in the letter so I'm not going to bore everyone with the details. Friday 16th July was an amazing, unforgettable day for me. Meeting Jared was an incredible experience, but also meeting new friends, with whom I hope to remain close to. The day had it's ups and downs but all in all it was worth every minute of it. Thank you to everyone who was a part of the day, especially Priy, Hannah, Lisa, Anita and Holly, I (Shree) love you all and hold all of you dear to my heart, thank you for sharing such a special day with me. I am so happy to have found friends who are so genuine and wonderful. Here's to friendship forever!

Provehito In Altum xx

Hello LJ-ers!
It's been too long.
Revision seems to be taking over my life, and let me tell you... it's not fun. I'm so stressed out about these exams..i feel sick in the stomach just thinking about it. Now, i know that sounds dumb, because they're just exams, but tbh... they're a lot more then that. It's a chance for me to prove to myself and to others that i can pass my exams. But then i think...what if i can't pass them? What if i fuck them up, like i did my mocks? And if i do fuck up...there's nothing i can do about it and it'll always be there. People will always know that of me. That seems more likely to happen then me actually passing them. :/
Lmfao. I apologise for that rant m'dears.
On a brighter note...Who's looking forward to Summer?! I know i am. Mhm.
Many plans, a lot of which involve doing nothing at all. :')
Also planning on meeting up with Alice. ([info]iwouldstoptime
So that shall be very fun. :D
And, then of course, there's Eclipse. ^_^
Plus, my cousin's wedding which is soon after my exams finish so that will be good fun.
Tbh... Summer is the only thing that's keeping me going through this revision. :')
It's weird to think that in...a few weeks, i would have finished year 11 & it will just be exams from then on. Whoa.
Sixth form then starts in September. Call me weird, but i'm excited for it. As hard as it will be, there's a few good points... More freedom being the main one :P and of course, studying the subjects i want to study. They are; History, Government & Politics, English Literature and Economics.
I wanted to do Drama but that plan failed.
Anyway. I think i've rambled plenty now.

I know, I know, I'm awful. I haven't posted on here in ages.
I didn't even make a Christmas and/or New Years post; my apologies.
I do hope everyone had a good christmas & new year though.
What is everyones resolutions?
Mine are; To lose weight & to get grades on my GCSEs.
So far both seem to be going good, haha. Exercise is going well and i've been revising my butt of for my mocks.
I predict that in years away from now, people of our generation, living in England will tell their grandchildren about the harsh winter of December 2009/January 2010.
Why do I say that? Well, because the whole of England (Well most of England anyway) is covered in a blanket of snow. Quite a bit of it too. The temperatures also dropping drastically.
I love the snow and everything but it's sort of distrupted our mocks. School was closed on Wednesday & Thursday and so we only had two exams on Friday.
There's also a good chance of a lot more snow tonight so who knows what's in store for this week.
What does everyone think of the snow? Has it ruined anything for you?
Although, I just had milk and cookies... Ah, the advantages of Winter Days.
Right now though, I am sitting here, listening to 30 Seconds To Mars and looking on e-Bay for costumes for ET3(twi-con in feb). I have around 5 weeks left and I need to find a civil war costume and a yellow graduation robe and cap. Uh-oh!
Today... I just revised. Fun, i know but that's what's become of my days recently; revision. Bring on Summer 2010! Haha.
On another note; I was offered tickets to the 30 Seconds To Mars gig and to the Green Day gig. I had to reject both. Also Michael Buble's touring in May and I can't go to his concert either.
All because of exams. Wow, I don't really have much luck with gigs do I? Haha.
Ah well... I have ET3 to look forward to! So far the announced guests are; Christopher Heyerdahl (Marcus), Kiowa Gordon (Embry) and Charlie Bewley (Demetri).
I'm so excited. Also excited to meet Charlie again.
Good times.
Do you guys have anything exciting to look forward to in the near future?
Wow, three questions in  one post. My bad.
Anyway, I shall stop rambling now. Have a good week ahead fellow LJ-ers!

And that price is respect.
The moment a star becomes famous or well-known, people lose respect for them as human beings.
The things 'fans' do are....unthinkable.
Now is the time for change.
Respect Me
The 'Respect Me' campaign is a campaign to raise awareness and also to ask...no, plead with people to treat Robert Pattinson with respect. Respect as a human being.
No-one can deny that Robert is a very well-known actor globally.
He's highly talented and successful. However, it has it down-sides.
The lack of respect people have for Rob as a human being.
Supposed 'fans' mob him, or even do worse. Call yourself fans? Then why do you insist on doing such things upon seeing him? You say that you 'love' him but, what is love without respect?
By mobbing him, you obviously have no respect for him. He is human after all.
So, if you are a fan (or even if you're not) and agree that the behaviour of some fellow 'fans' is shameful, then support the campaign.
Show Rob that there are fans who won't scream at him or try to attack him.
Show him that some of us DO respect him.
Show him the respect that he deserves.

Visit www.letmesign.com to learn more & to also join the ever-growing campaign.
'Respect is what we owe; love, what we give.'

Firstly can I just say what an amazing weekend I had. The event itself ran smoothly, the stewards were both nice and helpful. And of course the guests were incredibly nice.

Now, I know most people probably don’t care about my weekend at Twi-prom, I don’t know, maybe some of you do but tbh I’m writing this for the memories. For me to come back and read through it, something to put a smile on my face and remind me of what a good time I had.

So, on with the post.

Day one

So, I woke up at about 10 am on Saturday and to be quite honest, it still hadn’t really sunk in that, that very day I would be meeting my best friend & also meeting the amazing Charlie Bewley, Daniel Cudmore and Jose Zuniga. Obviously I was excited but…it all just seemed very surreal.

Anyway, we left home at 1.15pm (By this point I was worried that we wouldn’t make it in time for 3pm.)

The whole journey there consisted of listening to music, texting Siob, tweeting at Jamie & grinning at the fact that my dad was bombing it down on the motorway

Anyway, to my utter shock, we made it there at exactly 3pm on the dot. I scrambled out of the car (Partly so I could go and get in the hotel, partly because I was getting incredibly stuffy in that car)

So while my dad went to check in and while my mum went to sit in the lobby, I went to stand in the line for registration (Which was a very long line at the point).

I sent a text to Siob & got no reply. At this point I feared she’d fallen asleep & I didn’t even know her room number D:!

Thankfully, I sent her another text telling her that I was in line for registration and that she needs to come down. Five minutes later, Siob casually walked up beside me and goes “Hey”

Me: -looks next to me and grins- Hey

(Note this all had to be done subtly…. Long story)

Anyway, the next… half-an-hour  (?) Consisted of waiting in line and then receiving our event passes and packages. The package contained three pictures, one of Charlie, one of Daniel & one of Jose. A little Kellan Lutz badge (It was cute…but Siob tried to steal it from as she didn’t get one xD), a schedule of the weekend, a programme with info on the guests etc and also a pass and a fake £50 note for use at the casino thing they had going.

So this took us to about 3.30, at this point, I went to have some lunch and Siob disappeared up to her room. We met downstairs in the lobby again at 4, where we went into the dealers/ merchandise room. Big mistake. That room had so many pictures, it was ridiculous. Siob and I took an hour, yes an hour, simply choosing and then purchasing pictures. Realizing that we didn’t have much time left, we decided to chill in the lobby for a while and so we went out to the main lobby and bought hot chocolates from the costa.

Completely by random choice, we grabbed a couple of seats by the windows in the lobby and sat there, just talking and drinking the hot chocolate.

We look out of the window and see a random car pull up, obviously we pay no attention to it and turn back to our conversation. Then the people sitting beside us, tap me on the shoulder and go “Aren’t they the guests?”

I look at them and suddenly hear Siob go “Oh my god!” I turn to look at her, and then out of the window. Yep, you guessed it. Standing beside the ‘random car’ were

Charlie Bewley, Daniel Cudmore and Jose Zuniga. Need I even explain how Siob & I reacted? (We went insane, for those who didn’t quite guess that)

We then realized that Charlie & Daniel were, well… staring at us. That pushed our reaction further over the line of insanity.

So that all lasted about… half-an-hour (?), at which point, we decided that it’d be better if we go up to our rooms and get ready for the prom. So we went our separate ways and decided to meet in the lobby at 6.

A few minutes past six and were in the lobby. We had an hour to kill, we discovered, so we explored the hotel for a bit and then went to our rooms to get a few things etc. Soon enough, it was 7pm and we were allowed into the room where the prom was. The room itself looked amazing. It was done up so well. Honestly. <3

They made it to look like a proper prom, with a gazebo exactly like the one in the movie. It had fairy lights on it and the whole room was amazing too. It all looked beautiful. There was also a stage for the guests.

Eventually the guests came on stage and talked to us for bit. I did record, but unfortunately there is a lot of screaming and what not over it. (Yes, Siob and I may have done some of the screaming but tbh…. When you’re there…you can’t help it.)

They talked for about 15 minutes, then left. Siob and I chilled in the prom area and then we went back to the merchandise area (We couldn’t help ourselves okay?!), we were then called for our photo with the three guests.

God, lining up…it was so nerve-wracking. I swear, Siob dug her nails into my arms so much that weekend. Painful much?

Anyway, soon enough it was my turn. I took a deep breath and went up for my picture and the guys were like “Hey,how are you?”

Me: -totally unsure about who to look at when I answer- (I settled for looking at all three of them. Ha) I’m fine thanks

Charlie: That’s good –smiles-

Then we get ready for the picture Charlie, Me, Daniel behind me (He is SO tall) and Jose to the other side of me. When I was leaving, Charlie squeezed my arm, reassuringly. I think he could tell I was a bit nervous. xD

Siob took ages for her pictures… shoving everyone in front of her and whatnot.Haha.

Afterwards, it was time of the guests dances with the gold ticket holders. (Ugh, jealous. I admit it.Haha) and they danced to Flightless Bird!<3

Charlie also got his brother to come on and chose a girl at random to dance with him. Charlie was so incredibly sweet. <3

We headed back to Siobs room at about 11.30pm and I hung there till about 1am, then I headed back to my room for some sleep for the exciting day ahead of me.

Highlights of the day;

Daniel and Charlie seeing our freak-out session while we drank hot chocolate.xD

Ordering pizza from dominoes and eating them in the lobby in our dresses. xD

Daniel walking past us and saying “hey” and then us tweeting that. xD

Seeing Charlie and his brother around a lot. They look very similar, no lie.

Spending ages in the merchandise area.

Getting a sneak preview of the prom room, before everyone else. xD

Wow, ok that was longer than intended. Keep a look-out for the post about day two of twi-prom. I have a feeling that post will be longer. xD
